The cascade and terminal multiswitches are devices dedicated especially to multi-storey multi-family buildings. The current regulation of the MTBiGM from 2012, specifying the conditions that such buildings should meet, imposes the obligation to build multiswitch installations in every new multi-family building.
The cascade multiswitch allows you to freely scale the size of the network by adding more devices - individual multiswitches are connected in series by appropriately supplying signals from the loop-through outputs. If no further expansion of the installation is planned, the last device in the cascade is the terminal multiswitch. Signals from the branch outputs are in turn supplied to subscribers. Cascade multiswitches can be placed on different floors of the building, which allows you to significantly shorten the distance from the multiswitch output to the satellite tuner. Also, in the event of a failure, the cascade multiswitch can be quickly disconnected from the installation and replaced with a working device, which limits the time of installation downtime to the necessary minimum.
